Eddie and I both had the day off and nothing that we had to go and do at a certain time so we took the 3 kids up to Mt. Charleston today. The temperature was perfect. A nice break from the heat (and humidity). We decided to hike Robber's Roost since it's a short hike that ends in an area with lots of big rocks and little caves. We've done this hike before when we were dating with Daisy (Eddie's dog) and Cody. One of us carried Nate most of the way up and then we hiked around for a while and the dogs ran wild. Luckily it was just us until we headed back down and ran into a big group of Girl Scouts. Good timing I guess. Nate loved hiking so much that he'd pull us to keep going if we stopped for a minute. He's going to be quite the rock climber when he's old enough I'm sure.

Nate has to wear some sort of one piece outfit right now or he will be naked in about 30 seconds. It's a bummer to have such a limited choice in what to dress him in, but our other option is using duct tape to keep his diaper on (which I've heard works well). He starting saying gecko (we are babysitting a gecko right now), cow and all gone this week. He uses some words for many different things and it's hard to decipher what he's trying to say sometimes. It's so much fun watching our little blond-headed boy grow and change so much each day.

Looks like a fun hike. Glad that Nate and the four-legged kids enjoyed themselves!
