Work has been very stressful lately, and it seemed like it was all I could do to make it to Spring Break in one piece. Well I made it, and I'm enjoying the break immensely even though it's only a week. I decided to treat myself to a pedicure at the salon where I get my eyebrows done. I haven't had a pedi in years. It was an hour of pure bliss this morning as I got pampered. My toes are looking pretty now and I feel nice and relaxed.
I'd been wanting to go shopping for a new warm weather clothes. I didn't really have any shorts or capris or anything other than jeans and skirts. The nice weather demanded new clothes. So I went to the Gap and got a little carried away. It's expensive stuff, but it lasts. Here are a few of my new outfits. I got the 2 pairs of Bermuda shorts and some some different tops. I got 4 different colored tank tops that can go with the brown sweater and a gray t-shirt. I also got a tan, shiny shirt with a tie and ruffled sleeves. Now it's time to go through my short sleeve shirts and get rid of the ratty ones.
This last picture is of some flowers I planted a few weeks ago. The weather was getting nice and I really wanted something pretty by our front door instead of a dead poky plant we never moved from the previous owners. It's called a Lavender Trailing Lantana. It smells great when it's blooming. Hopefully I can keep it alive. I'm also trying to grow some herbs in the house. The cilantro didn't make it and the parsley is struggling, but the rosemary, thyme and a Thai chili plant are doing really well. I don't have a green thumb, but I try every so often.

Eddie and I are continuing to work on our top secret project, although Eddie is doing most of the work at this point. He is planning to go back to work on Friday and hopefully do light duty for a little while so he doesn't hurt his back any more. I'll be back to work on Monday for 3 weeks of testing, and them I'm free for the next 3 1/2 weeks. I am looking forward to May. For now I will enjoy my new clothes and pretty toes and my break.
Happy Easter!
