The Boys

Since it's cooling down finally there have been many outdoor events. Nate got to do a biking event with Grandma and Grandpa to encourage kids to get outside and exercise. All the kids were older so he didn't do any actual mountain biking, but did a short ride on the road. He was so excited. He loves races or anything he thinks is a race. He's very competitive too.

Nate just got a new, bigger bike as an early birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa. I'll have to share a picture later when I can pull one off of my phone or take some on the camera. It had handbrakes and gears to shift so it's quite an upgrade. He's already been riding it around the neighborhood.

This past weekend Eddie and Nate did the Terrain Mud Run out at Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City. Eddie did a 10K and Nate did a 1/2 mile for the little kids at the end. Too bad they don't have baby mud crawls so little brother can join in before too long.

A rare smile for the camera

Nate is definitely following in Daddy's footsteps. We are planning on having him try a kid's triathlon in June and of course more kid mud runs as we find them. The boys are doing a Trick or Trot 5K at the end of the month. I'm not up for trying to keep up with Nate so I'll just hang out or maybe do the walk by myself. Eddie is signed up for Ragnar from Mt. Charleston to Red Rock in November and a 12K Trail run in Red Rock as well. Staying busy.
