We have had a busy week and it's not over yet! It's been raining here, but luckily not at the times that we want to go do fun things.
On Sunday we ventured up to Truckee, California, which is about a 40 minute drive from our house. We hiked on Martis Creek Wildlife Area. It was beautiful and the perfect hike for Nate. It is a 4 mile loop, but we went about a third of the way and then went back. 4 miles is a bit much for Nate. I'm sure we'll go back sometime soon. There were some picnic tables by the bridges so next time we'll have to bring lunch.
On Monday we went to the Sierra Safari Zoo, which is only a few miles from our house. It's similar to the zoo in Las Vegas. No much, but we still enjoyed it. The first Monday of the month is free so we took advantage of that.
Today we went on our second fire station tour. It was through my play group again, but this time we had a very small group. We had a blast. Nate has been very into firefighters lately and likes to pretend he is a firefighter and wear his fire hats on a regular basis at home. We have 3 firefighter hats now. Good thing because they are flimsy plastic and break easily. We need to invest in some real dress up clothes.

Tried to get a picture of the huge ladder truck. Didn't quite get it all.

Nate is napping. A rare occurance, but he was super tired since he's been up since 4:45am. I'm tired too, but I have to take advantage of this time to catch up on blogging.
