On Christmas Eve we headed over to Mom and Dad's house like we always do, but this year we got to enjoy Grandma and Grandpa Atwood, Amy, Justin and Haddie's company as well. We had dinner and opened some presents and just enjoyed hanging out and chatting until everyone was too sleepy to go on (which was pretty early). We even got to do Facetime with all of the Atwood's spending Christmas in Tennessee for a bit. We put cookies out for Santa as soon as we got home and then off to bed. It was a good night.

Christmas Day was a little different than usual. Eddie was scheduled to work from 6am - 4pm so we delayed our family present opening until that evening. Since Nate is only 2 and doesn't know how Christmas usually works this turned out fine. For the most part he stayed away from all of the presents under the tree too. Eddie's parents came over and I attempted to start dinner. I was supposed to make (for the first time) Peggy's famous prime rib, but our oven decided it was done with baking anything after 19 dozen cookies I'd made earlier in the week. Our propane was also out so grilling was not an option either. So our prime rib turned into steak on the stove. They turned out yummy since Eddie can do magic in the kitchen.
After dinner we open lots and lots of presents. We had to really encourage Nate to keep opening since he wanted to stop and play with everything he opened, even his toothbrush and toothpaste. All in all it was a good Christmas.
